Marketing in Turbulent Times and Understanding Customers
All customers are different – so how do we tailor strategies to suite each group of customers; how do we build a systematic approach to marketing strategy? These are the key topics for this workshop. Attendees will be able to take away a number of tools which will assist in day-to-day practical application of marketing strategy to make expenditure aimed at revenue and profit growth more effective.
Geoff’s background is as a marketing and strategy practitioner. He is formerly the Sales & Marketing Director of Aga Cookers and Armitage Shanks. Geoff has also managed a number of MBI’s and now act as an Advisor and Non-Executive Director at a number of private companies.
At Aston Geoff has been the Head of the Marketing & Strategy Group and more recently was seconded to Aston University Hong Kong where he led strategic partnership development in Asia. Geoff teaches extensively on Aston’s MBA and MSc programmes, he has delivered the marketing strategy module on Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small businesses programme and works with Aston Centre for Growth. Geoff is also Visiting Foreign Expert at Tianjin Foreign Studies University in China. His research interests are in the fields of international marketing strategy and entrepreneurship and he leads a project on the use of foreign language capability as a source or competitive advantage in small firms.
